I think it is a brilliant idea!   I've seen the version made for sheep, but
the things are too darned expensive for the rare instances that I need to
get milk/colostrum from a Jacob ewe.

I've never had the time or energy to try milking just for fun, but those
times when I needed colostrum for a rejected lamb, I've used a human manual
breast pump.  Cheaply available used on ebay.

I know, I'm a wimp.  But it works!
