[Jacob-list] felting on the live sheep

The only Jacob I have had felt her fleece was one with a very silky feel to
it, not dense or bouncy.  She would felt if it rained heavily just before
shearing and it was warm - we shear in June here in Scotland.  The whole
fleece would shrink like a carapace and we knew it had happened as she would
follow us around bellowing to be shorn!   It happens regularly on a handful
of my Hebrideans.
