I have a 13 year old ewe, Painted Rock Faye, who has lost a number of her
front teeth. She is somewhat thin, but not alarmingly thin, she is active,
in charge as always, and always the first in line to eat. Her eyelid color
is good. We do not breed Faye and it is our intent for her to live out her
years in optimum comfort. Would it be advantageous to pull the rest of her
front teeth? Would that facilitate eating/grazing? Are a few teeth better
than just gumming for food? Her diet consists of grass hay and about half a
cup of crimped oats daily and free feed loose mineral. Advice?
