Will your basic bolt extractor (basically a drill bit with a clutch. You =
put it in a drill, set the clutch to the proper length, drill into the =
broken bolt, when the clutch touches the bolt it will stop going deeper =
and start turning the bolt in the loosening direction) work, or is =
something different about these? I got mine at ACE hardware when a bolt =
that holds on the crossbar blocking access to the torque convertor drain =
plug broke off in the car.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] water pump
Well, the new year has brought a water pump failure. Noisy and poor =
flow, pretty obvious. Now the bad news, the mechanic broke two bolts off =
in the pump housing in his attemp to remove it.=A0 Apperently no =
antiseize compound was used at the factory. So we have a nice instance =
of bi-metal corrosion. Has anyone changed their pump? Has anyone any =
good ideas for breaking the remaining bolts and broken studs loose?
aarrghh.
