I pulled all the injectors out of the holders on my 87 560sel to see if any
of them were leaking none were in the on position, when I cranked the car
over there was still no fuel coming out of injectors why? Then I put it
all together and tried starting the car it would sputter but not start, I
did not start the car before I pulled the injectors out for a few weeks,
since it did not have oil in it because I drained my gas diluted oil and
never refilled it with new oil until today. After I put the injectors back
in the car would sputter and backfire while cranking over until you pushed
the gas pedal, after pushing the gas pedal it would just crank. So I
figured it was getting flooded with too much fuel so I leaned out the CO
which did not help at all (still sputters but does not start). Plus now I
think that the CO is way out of whack is there a way to reset the CO? Few
weeks ago it was running way way rich so I adjusted the CO approximately to
the right spot the car would start easily(on warm motor, never tried it on
cold motor) and would not smoke black smoke, after I adjusted the CO I
drained the oil and left my training trip out of town.
thanks
