Mercedes sells rubber spring 'shims' to fine tune the ride height. I don't
know how normal the difference is, but it is a common problem.

Subject: [W126 Coupe] Suspension Problem

Hi,

I've got a problem with my suspension on an '87 420 SEC. The ride
height on the left side is lower than the right. I had put it down to
sagging springs, but when I recently replaced all four springs (Eibach
Pro Kit) and shocks, it is still the same. When I asked the guys who
fitted them, they told me that it is within manufacturers tolerances and
also that some spring manufacturers purposely make the driver's side
ride height (I live in Australia) slightly higher than the passenger
side. Sounded like BS to me.

Has anyone in the group had this sort of problem, and if yes, how did
you correct it?

Thanks
Hardi
