Can anyone recommend a good radar detector? I live in Maryland, where they are legal, but they are illegal in Virginia and DC (where I drive regularly). If there have been previous posts, I don't want to re-invent the wheel. Perhaps if someone could let me know where I coud find the information that would be super. I need to balance effectiveness with ease of use, as I don't have time to do a lot of programming and set up. Cost is a lesser factor. Also, does anyone have any thoughts as to whether the battery powered ones are any good? I would like to be able to take it from car to car. Also, I have had trouble with getting any power adapters to work in my coupe -- the lighter socket seems to want to push out anything I stick in there - except my elbow, of course! :-) Thanks! - Christopher McKenna
