Hi Markus:

There is a procedure for replacing the two electrolytic capacitors on =
the back of that clock.  I recently did this on the 86 300SE Euro which =
is the same as any 126 chassis including your 90 or 91 SEC.  Cost is $6 =
and it takes about 30 minutes to do.

My only additional note on the job is that you must de-solder the ground =
post in addition to removing the screws on the board.

While you are in there you may want to consider painting your indicator =
needles on all the gauges if they have faded and certainly replace the =
bulbs for the backlighting of the instrument cluster with new ones.
