Someone was asking about paying for TV and vans that pick up the signals.
Here in Germany they tax radios and TV's to pay for the 4 state owed channels.
The abundant private channels have better programming but if you have a
TV or radio you could pick up the state channels so you have to pay!! They
have vans that tell if you have a radio or tv turned on and check to see
if you pay the tax. Luckily I work on the military installation and am
in a tax free status so I don't have to pay it.

Just got a notice that my rear camber kit from K-Mac is at the post office.
$320 for the kit, $20 for shipping.... and now the friggin Germans want
Euro 54 for duties and tax. Looks like I will pay it because to get around
it I have to get paperwork from the US Military take that to Frankfurt Intl
airport, where the package entered the country. That's like a 300 mile
round trip. Then take that paperwork to the post office here to get the
package. But the post office will only hold the package another 3 days
and I can't get the time off work, nor would the time, gas and mileage be
worth the trip... aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggggg!

cool note.. just got back from Spain on vacation. Had to drive up above
Frankfurt for the flight and took the SEC.. left at about 3 am and the autobahn
was pretty empty.. set the cruise control at 200 KmH or 125 MPH for the
majority of the trip.
