[W126 Coupe] Repairs

Nope, haven't worked there in, oh...6 months or so.. The part #'s on
Rusty's site are web based numbers..have Nothing to do w/ actual MB
parts #'s.. You'll need the EPC for that.

Guy, I wouldn't go near a dealer, they don't know how to fix a car if
a computer doesn't tell them what to do...and in those cases it's only
Remove and Replace...repair has become a little known word at this
point. You don't need to switch to synthetic based hydraulic fluid,
the usual stuff has been working in S/L suspensions for 20+ years now.
At your mileage I would wager your accumulators are getting ready to
fail if they have not already been replaced.. As such, if they have
not been replaced I would just wait for the time to do that job as
it's an ideal time to flush the fluid out. Flushing the brake system
is always a good idea, MB recommends you do so in the spring. If the
mounts have not been replaced I'm positive they are Tired and could
stand replacing, 100K for a rubber mount is a pretty good life span
IMHO. I would also look to have the transmission mount replaced.
Lastly, I would change the differential fluid as it is something that
is often over looked. I do believe you should go w/ synthetic in that
regard, I happen to be partial to Redline's 75-90 weight fluid.

That's about all that's coming to mind for the moment!

Jonathan
