Snow:
I know the Sierra Nevada's and many other areas get nailed with heavy snow just never thought of Boston as being a candidate dumping site for so much white stuff. The dogs needed to go out this am. To my surprise the rear sliding door to the deck was packed shoulder high with snow. The wife (err smart person) had brought in one shovel, I on the other hand left all the shovels and 8 horse snowblower at the end of the deck where it meets the concrete patio some 20 feet away.
I literally shoveled a path about 10 feet out for the two dogs. That's as far as was reasonable given the gale force winds and horizontal blow of snow. They made there visit to the out of doors while I shoveled the snow that fell into the house. Where these dogs are white Bichon's and had just been 'detailed' it took me a minute to find the more adventurous of the two who had ventured off into a drift. Looked like he was swimming and ended up off the side of the deck dropping a few feet. I threw him a life preserver, actually had to go dig him out. I'd say this is a big snow fall and the weather says it's not finished till later today. The wind is making 6+ foot snow drifts. By way of example, the two cars parked in the driveway are gone from view (I can see the indent for the roof line on one) as I look down that way. They are on a hill and it's just one vast expanse of white stuff. I snow they are under there somewhere.
Terrorists:
The supposed (6) terrorists have been given a cool reception here in Boston by mother nature and it's expected they'll soon be found frozen to death saving us all the trouble of dealing with them.
Patriots:
Well at least they left town before the storm to play in Pittsburg so, it looks like everyone in New England will be watching the game tonight. A captive audience for sure. Cabin fever will be the next hot topic I think.
