Mine is a 84 500SEC EURO
My oil pressure gauge has been reading full on 3 for some time . As
soon as i start up , it shoots up to three and stays there !!!
Replaced the sender unit yesterday ,but, the electrial connecting plug had
a problem. Opened the cover and discovered 2 loose wires, one short bit on
the oil plunger and the other going to the dash but not connected to each
other. Can this be repaired ? if not is there a part number for this
connector. And ,or, does it have a name?
Tried joining the 2 wires. Result- oil pressure goes to three and stayes
there.
P.S.
I change the oil and filter every 3,000 miles.
Regards
 James
