I removed only the horizontal strip and tri-star.

If you want to see what the grill would look like without the chrome
horizontal strip, just remove it. If you lift the hood and look up from the
inside, you will see several tabs inserted onto slots in the grill along the
horizontal strips and three round tabs for the tri-star. The horizontal tabs
are easy to push out from the inside (they may break if you pry them out
from the front). The round tabs for the tri-star are very easy to break
unless they are pushed out from the inside.
