Hi,
the annually Chess Contest by the newspaper "Stuttgarter Zeitung"
was published shortly before Christmas. As always the contest consists
of five computer resistant retro positions.
Hereafter I tried to translate the issue of the chess column. Otto
already put the problems at the Retro Corner:

White to move, mate in one. Color the pieces!
So far the positions of the contest. Voluntarily the following
problems that were selected by the Stuttgart retro expert Guenther
Weeth may be solved by the retro profis.
For position E it is sufficient to give the first five moves.
For position E and D a short explanation is expected.
All contributors of completely correct solutions will be mentioned in
the discussion. Additionally, three further book prices are drawn by
lots among the contributors.
