Dear retro-friends,

The last issue of The Problemist (Nov. 2003) contains my article
"Chessoc: Nineteen eighty-four in retro-images" with nine problems
which illustrate some Orwellian slogans and concepts and are
mainly of (diverse) controversial genres. No originals. Its text is 
available upon request by e-mail (in .txt or .rtf).

Thanks to Andrew Buchanan for pointing out a minor error in 
my description of the genesis of the study by G.Rinder (No.8).
