HI friends,
Thanks Joost for indicating the discussion antecedents on "invisible castling".
As indicated by Michel Caillaud that time on the RML, visible promotees on the board
are undesirable elements when they can be avoided (this is not surely the case in
the remarkable Andrey's double invisible castling).
Equivalently, technical captures are a feature that composers intend to avoid, excepting when
looking for the task of minimal number of moves (which is the case here with fake castling).
Based on this, I wonder what's the "capture free fake castling record ". Her follows an example,
rn1qk2r/ppB3pp/3p1n2/4pp2/1bpP1P2/5BPN/PPP1P2P/RN1Q1RKb
10.5 moves C+
1. Pd2-d4 Pc7-c5 2. Fc1-f4 Pc5-c4 3. Ff4-c7 Pe7-e5
4. Pf2-f4 Ff8-b4 5. Re1-f2 Pd7-d6 6. Pg2-g3 Fc8-h3
7. Ff1-g2 Pf7-f5 8. Fg2-f3 Fh3-g2 9. Cg1-h3 Cg8-f6
10. Th1-f1 Fg2-h1 11. Rf2-g1
I "smell" that this could be improved.
Best,
Roberto
