One way to make your idea thematic for this mailing list is to ask for
the shortest *unique proof game* with a FEN string showing only a given
number. Below is an example found by my computer, and some lower bounds
on the length when I couldn't find an example.
Mono-1: >= 10.0 moves
Mono-2: >= 7.5 moves
Mono-3: 2 unique proof games in 6.0 moves:
1. d4 d5 2. Bh6 Bf5 3. e3 Bxc2 4. Qh5 Be4 5. Bd3 Qd6 6. Kf1 Nd7
1. d4 d5 2. Bh6 Bf5 3. e3 Bxc2 4. Qh5 Be4 5. Bd3 Qd6 6. Kf1 Kd7
Mono-4: >= 10.0 moves
Mono-7: >= 7.5 moves
