[Retros] History of Retrograde analysis problem?

Let me add that of course chapter 3 of Dittmann's "Der Blick zurück"
("Typologie der Retro-Gattungen" -- Typology of the Retro Genres") also
contains a lot of historic aspects of retrograde analysis.
