Dear Thomas,
Thank you for the information. I am very sorry to hear it.
Henrik was the most active commenter and solver in PDB for many years, with 36,713 comments - about 50% more than anyone else. He was always insightful, fair and humorous. He was particularly welcoming to new or young problemists.
I had seen that he stopped posting in PDB a few weeks ago, and I hoped that he was taking a holiday.
I would show here one of his retros that I really like, but I fear it might be the one that Thomas will feature in his blog next week!
God bless his memory,
Andrew

Sad news from Denmark: From Bjørn Enemark I learned that Henrik Juel passed away at January 3rd, just four weeks before his 80th anniversary (February 02, 1945 — January 03, 2025).
He was an excellent composer with a not so high output, but always interesting retros of different types, and he was the most active reader and commenter of my blog.
Here you may find a brief obituary (https://www.thbrand.de/2025/01/10/henrik-juel-2-2-1945-3-1-2025/); the next „Retro der Woche“ will discuss a fine Henrik-Juel-retro in detail.
I will never forget him, his contribution to the retros community and to my blog.
Best, Thomas_______________________________________________
