Unbelievable but true. I just saw this on C-Span.
In a very dignified ceremony honoring Martin Luther King, Jr., President =
Bush was presented with a stunning portrait of MLK "to hang in the White =
House" by Mrs. Corretta Scott King and her daughter and son. To which =
Bush quipped with his trademark smirk, "I can't wait to hang it!" =
Delayed and nervous laughter came from the forgiving audience. As the =
shot slowly zoomed in on the painting, the eyes of the portrait seemed =
to burn into the lens of the camera, the eyes of the viewer, the =
occupant of the White House, the conscience of a country.
