I had heard the part about Rev. Buck being a defrocked Episcopalian
priest. But a close friend of his disabused me of that rumor (Mike
Hershey). I was told that his last congregation was a bunch of
well-to-do American expatriates in a Latin American country. And
he didn't get along with the congregation (no surprise) and resigned
or was fired. And returned states side and bought property in some
small town or other east of Austin. And if my informant was correct,
regretted not returning to Austin. He visited Austin quite frequently
for various events even when he was in a wheelchair.

He had the luxury of having inherited quite a lot of money.

Hershey also said he was a competent veterinary but rough with
his patients.

Mike

I thought the Very Reverend Dr. Buck had been de-frocked at one time. Were
there two reverend-slash-veterinareans in Austin named Buck?
