[AGL] Hospitals and Texas Legal Code

I have been trying to find where in the Texas Legal Code there is some description of the legal responsibility for a hospital to report a "bullet wound" to the local law enforcement agency.  Had no luck at all.  Reason for this is obvious:  did the local hospital treating Whittington NOT exercise a legal requirement to report his shooting because there was "pressure" not to do so by Cheney, Rove or the Secret Service.  

Someone with a lawyer friend or legal associate might know whether this is "required" in Texas, especially in ER situations.
