[Jacob-list] judging quality of fleece on young lambs

Hi all,

I am wondering how you judge the quality of a fleece on a very young lamb.  I 
have read list members commenting on the  fleeces of some of their newborns.  
How can you tell if the fleece will be nice?  One of my little ram lambs is 
so pretty, I would like to keep him as a ram if he develops well.  If I can 
have a clue as to what to look for in a lamb fleece, I can be saved some of 
the suspense of waiting to see how it turns out.

I appreciate any insights anyone can give me.
