I always thought that the arrows were more for fun than anything, but do
other detectors have the bogey counter? I can see the use in that.
Another thing is, the article I read that said the V1 has more false
alerts also said that it gives more advance warning, but just that that
much advance warning doesn't matter in real life. I'll take all the
advance warning I can get.

Never had a radar detector but I'm not sure I understand the value in
knowing where the detection is coming from as advertised by Valentine. I
would think if your detector goes off, you slow down regardless of
location. False detection avoidance would seem far more important to me.
What am I missing?

V1, I ran both the 8500 and the V1 in my windshield for about a month.
 On some instances they were fairly close, but more often then not the
V1 was beating out the 8500.  Also, once you live w/ arrows you Never
go back!
