[W126 Coupe] RADAR DETECTORS

Joe: Here's an example from my experience. Traveling
down I-70 in central Kansas. My Valentine detector
lights up, telling me there is a bogey heading towards
me. I slow down, a highway patrol car goes by, but my
directional arrow still shows a bogey ahead of me (the
arrow didn't swivel to the rear when the trooper
passed). About 1 mile behind the first trooper, there
was a second car WITH active radar. Moral, if I had a
detector with idiot lights instead of arrows, I would
have assumed the threat had passed and resumed speed
only to be caught by the second car! Since I had a
Valentine, I knew there was radar still ahead on the
road.
