Jonathan:
Looks like a high rider went clear over your bumper and directly in the
front. So, either you hit the lady in the rear with your nose down or when
she hit you on the nose she was driving one of those sickly SUV's that I
refer to as 'walls of plywood'. They suck huge amounts of gas, endanger
everyone else on the road in a passenger car and throw off a tax break if
commercially registered. All to what benefit you might ask. My answer,
none that is of any value whatsoever. They burn way too much fuel, give the
majority of owners the false sense of security that somehow they are
impervious to damage as they blow by in a 1/2 foot of snow only to roll-over
somewhere up ahead.
In Massachusetts, no trucks are allowed in the left hand high speed lane.
I've asked the legislature to outlaw SUV's from this lane as well. They
leave you vulnerable to a nasty accident if you drive behind there 'wall of
plywood' and they throw up every piece of road debris imaginable because of
the lift on the chassis exposing huge amounts of tire tread similar to
trucks which are required to operate with wheel flaps but, not the SUV.
I have my own personal use of the English language that morphs the meaning
of S U V.
Too bad, that's a beautiful MB. Good luck.
