[W126 Coupe] don't use high mileage oils

One last question: does the wire on the alligator clip have to be of a
certain gauge? Like should I use a jumper cable or something, or would
any metal clip with a metal wire do? It's pretty pathetic, but I can't
wait to go home in a month so I can change the oil.
Thanks,
Richard

Take the end of the coil cable off the distributor cap tower, attach an
alligator clip with wire lead to the metal clip inside the coil wire
boot,
attach the other end of the wire lead and alligator clip to a good
chassis
ground. That's how you jump the coil wire to ground.
