Let me clarify Tom's reply. The problem by Professor Mauldon was first
published in The Problemist, July 1980, No 4, p.64 (#C: "Paths of
Rb1/Rd2?"), in the article 'The four corners of the realm' by T.Volet
(the article contains also two more originals, by G.Donati and TV).
